Your goals won’t work if you forget them—keeping them at the forefront of your mind is essential for success."

The Power of the 1-Page Report: A Simple Tool to Transform Your Goals

Welcome to the blog! Today, I want to share a transformative concept that has completely changed how I approach my goals and priorities—the 1-Page Report.

I learned this method from my mentor, Ben Hardy, about four years ago, and it has become a cornerstone of how I teach my clients to stay focused and create a life they love. If you feel overwhelmed by all the things you want to achieve or find yourself forgetting your goals after just a few weeks, this tool is for you.

Why Most Goals Fail

We all set goals, especially at the beginning of the year, with so much enthusiasm. But two or three weeks later, those goals often feel like a distant memory.

Why? Because we don’t have a system to keep them front and center.

The 1-Page Report changes that. It keeps your goals alive in your mind, helping you stay focused on your priorities and make progress every week and month.

"Your goals won’t work if you forget them—keeping them at the forefront of your mind is essential for success."

How the 1-Page Report Works

This method is simple but powerful. Here’s how to use it:

  1. Define Your Three Core Priorities: If everything is a priority, then nothing is. Choose the three most important areas of your life right now. For me, this year it’s family, business, and health. These aren’t specific goals but guiding principles that influence everything I do.
  2. Create Monthly or Weekly Reports: Reflect on what you’ve done in the past week or month. What worked? What didn’t? Use this time to reframe your experiences and focus on the wins, even the small ones.
  3. Draft Your Future Goals: These goals are a draft—flexible and evolving. Your future vision guides your present actions, helping you make thoughtful and deliberate decisions.

What Makes This Method So Powerful?

Here are five reasons the 1-Page Report can transform your life:

1. It Helps You Adapt

Life happens, and plans change. The 1-Page Report allows you to pivot and adjust your goals without losing sight of your priorities. It’s a living document that evolves as you do.

2. It Keeps Your Goals Front and Center

How many times have you set a goal only to forget about it weeks later? By reviewing your 1-Page Report regularly, you’ll keep your goals alive and actionable.

3. It Aligns Your Priorities

This tool ensures that your actions align with what matters most to you. When I was building my six-figure business, I prioritized work over health, and the results showed. There’s no shame in being honest about your priorities—but this method helps you set them deliberately.

"If everything is a priority, then nothing is a priority."

4. It Slows Down Time

Do you ever feel like the week flew by and you accomplished nothing? This practice gives you space to reflect and decide how you want to view your week. You get to reframe your experiences and create a narrative that serves you.

"Reflection isn’t just about looking back; it’s about deciding what narrative you want to create about your week."

5. It Connects You with Your Future Self

One of my favorite concepts to teach is the Future Self. This isn’t about becoming someone new in five or ten years; it’s about bringing that version of you into the present. When you have a vision for your future, you can start making decisions today that align with it.

"Your future self isn’t someone you become years from now; it’s a version of you that you bring into the present."

A GPS for Your Goals

Think of the 1-Page Report like a GPS. To reach your destination, you need to know two things: where you are and where you’re going. This tool helps you identify both. It reveals your hidden commitments (the things you’re unconsciously prioritizing) and gives you clarity about the actions needed to align with your goals.

"You can see what you’re committed to by the results you have in your life."

Self-Love and Transformation

At its core, the 1-Page Report isn’t just about productivity—it’s about self-love. When you take the time to reflect, prioritize, and align your actions with your deepest desires, you’re showing yourself that you are worthy of the life you want.

"The reality of your life is shaped by your perspective and how you choose to filter and frame your experiences."

Ready to Get Started?

If this concept resonates with you, I invite you to try it.

Start by writing down your three core priorities and creating a 1-page report for the month.

Reflect on what’s working, adapt where necessary, and keep your future self in focus. This simple practice can help you create a life you love, one week at a time.

Remember, your life is a draft—keep refining it. If you found this blog helpful, share it with someone who might benefit from this approach. And if you’re ready to dive deeper into personal growth, connect with me to explore how coaching can help you achieve your goals.
