When you know deep down that success is inevitable, the journey stops feeling so hard. You’re just waiting for the results to catch up.
If you see yourself as someone who struggles, you’ll keep struggling. But if you start seeing yourself as someone who thrives, your actions will start to align with that.
The Secret to Achieving Any Goal -
Become the Person Who Has It
Have you ever set a big, bold goal and immediately felt that little voice whisper, "But what if I fail?"
I get it. I’ve been there—whether it was in weight loss, business growth, or personal transformation—and I’ve learned that success doesn’t come from just setting a goal. It comes from becoming the person who already has it before the results ever show up.
Today, I want to share a powerful mindset shift that will make your success inevitable—whether you’re trying to lose weight, build your business, or transform your confidence from the inside out.
Step One: Stop Focusing on the Goal—Start Focusing on Who You Are Becoming
Most people think achieving a goal works like this:
π Set the goal.
π Work hard.
π Get the result.
But here’s the real formula for success:
π
Become the person who has the goal.
π Act from that identity every day.
π The goal naturally follows.
You don’t achieve the goal and THEN become the person. You become the person FIRST, and the results catch up.
I learned this firsthand when I was working toward my first six-figure coaching business.
I wanted it so badly, but for the longest time, I wasn’t actually being the coach who could make six figures. I lacked confidence. I second-guessed myself.
Then, everything changed. I stopped waiting for external validation and started showing up like a six-figure coach. And guess what? Clients started coming. Opportunities started flowing. I became the person FIRST, and the money followed.
π‘ Try this: Ask yourself, If I already had my goal, how would I act today?
If you’re on a weight loss journey, that might mean…
- Eating in a way that supports your body.
- Moving like someone who LOVES taking care of herself.
- Thinking like a woman who
already trusts herself with food.
For your
business, it might mean…
- Showing up online like a coach who already has paying clients.
- Talking about your offer with confidence.
- Pitching yourself for opportunities instead of waiting for someone to notice you.
This is how we make success inevitable.
Step Two: What If Failure Wasn’t a Problem?
Let’s talk about that sneaky little thought that keeps popping up:
"But what if I fail?"
Here’s the truth: You’re not actually afraid of failure.
You’re afraid of
embarrassment.
And guess what? You can handle embarrassment.
“The fear isn’t really about failing—it’s about being embarrassed. But I can handle embarrassment. And so can you.”
When I first started coaching, I was terrified that people wouldn’t take me seriously. But I realized that I was the one who needed to take myself seriously first.
What if you fully believed in yourself—right now? What if you showed up for your business or your body without second-guessing? What if you decided that failure wasn’t a reason to quit, but just part of the process?
The moment you stop letting the fear of failure control you is the moment everything changes.
Step Three: Rewrite the Story You’re Telling Yourself
We all have a story running in the background of our minds.
β¨
“I’ve always struggled with my weight.”
β¨
“I’m not confident enough to be successful.”
β¨
“I’m just not good at business.”
But here’s what I want you to know: That story is optional.
“90% of the reasons you think you can’t achieve your goal are just stories you’ve been telling yourself. And you get to change the story.”
Instead of…
β
“I always gain the weight back.”
Try…
β
“I’m learning how to sustain weight loss in a way that feels good.”
Instead of…
β
“I’m not ready to grow my business.”
Try…
β
“I’m becoming someone who confidently builds her business.”
Your brain believes whatever you tell it. Feed it thoughts that support your success.
Step Four: The Best Way to Overcome Limiting Beliefs
Limiting beliefs aren’t something to ignore or push down. They’re actually full of valuable information.
Picture an iceberg.
The small part you see above the surface? That’s the limiting belief you’re aware of.
The massive part underneath? That’s all the deeper thoughts and fears you don’t even realize are there.
This is why journaling is so powerful.
Try this exercise: Open your journal and write, “What am I afraid of?”—and let your brain go wild. Write out every single fear.
You’ll quickly realize that most of it is just noise—not actual truth. And the few things that ARE real? Now you have the power to work through them.
π’ “If you see yourself as someone who struggles, you’ll keep struggling. But if you start seeing yourself as someone who thrives, your actions will start to align with that.”

Journaling Prompts:
Pause for a moment. Imagine sitting down with your journal, a cup of coffee, and giving yourself the gift of reflection. These 10 questions will help you see yourself with more kindness, release self-judgment, and step into the version of you who already has the life you desire.
1. If I already had the success I desire (in weight loss, business, or confidence), how would I think, act, and feel differently today?
2. What’s one story I’ve been telling myself about why I can’t succeed? Where did that story come from, and is it actually true?
3. If I spoke to myself with the same love and compassion I give my best friend, how would I encourage myself right now?
4. What are three words that describe the person I’m becoming? How can I embody these traits today?
5. What is the most common fear that holds me back from going after my goals? If I knew that fear could no longer control me, what would I do next?
6. Imagine meeting your Future Self five years from now. What advice does she have for you? How does she remind you that everything you want is already within you?
7. What is one small shift I can make today that aligns me more with my Future Self? (This could be a thought, a habit, or a way I show up for myself.)
8. If failure and embarrassment weren’t options, what goal would I go all in on right now? Why haven’t I done it yet?
9. What does self-love look like for me today? How can I show up with more kindness and compassion toward myself?
ο»Ώ 10. What would it feel like to fully trust myself on this journey? How can I start trusting myself more starting today?
