A Candid Conversation with Nichole Halmos:
Balancing Motherhood, Business, and Self-Love
I have the best friends—the kind of people who are smart, funny, and just amazing to be around. Every now and then, I find myself having deep, hours-long conversations with them, and I always walk away feeling inspired.
But this time, I decided to hit record and share one of these conversations with you.
In this episode of my podcast, I sat down with Nichole Halmos, a former client and a dear friend, for an open and unfiltered conversation about motherhood, entrepreneurship, self-love, and what it really takes to build a fulfilling life.
Whether you’re a mom balancing it all, an entrepreneur navigating the highs and lows of business, or someone who just needs a reminder to love yourself a little more, this conversation is for you.
Let’s be real—work-life balance is an illusion.
Nichole and I laughed about this because, like so many women, we’ve both chased the dream of having a perfectly balanced life. But the truth is, balance isn’t about splitting time equally between everything—it’s about being fully present wherever you are.
✨ “Balance doesn’t mean doing everything perfectly. It means showing up for what matters most and giving yourself grace for the rest.”
If you’re constantly feeling like you’re failing at work-life balance, ask yourself:
Because sometimes, the key to balance is letting go of the expectations that were never really ours to begin with.
If you’ve ever started a business, you know—it’s not just about strategy. It’s about mindset.
Nichole and I talked about the deep identity shifts that happen when you become an entrepreneur. You’re no longer just someone with a passion or a skill. You’re suddenly the CEO of your own dreams, and that requires a whole new level of confidence.
But here’s the thing: you don’t need to feel ready to start.
👉 You just have to take the next step.
✨ “You don’t become confident first and then start. You start scared, and confidence catches up.”
If you’ve been waiting for the perfect moment, stop waiting. You’re more capable than you think, and the only way to become the person you want to be is to start acting like her today.
One of the most heartfelt moments in our conversation was about motherhood and guilt.
Why is it that no matter what we do, we feel like we’re falling short? If we focus on our kids, we feel guilty for neglecting our business. If we pour into our business, we feel guilty for not being fully present with our families.
But here’s what I want every mom to hear:
✨ “Your worth is not measured by how much you do. You are enough simply because you exist.”
What if we stopped measuring ourselves by impossible standards? What if we believed that being a happy, fulfilled mom is just as valuable as being a present one?
Because the truth is, your kids don’t need a perfect mom. They need a mom who loves herself enough to show them what happiness looks like.
Okay, confession time: we also talked about how reading in the bathroom can be a form of self-care.
Because sometimes, those tiny moments of stillness—a quiet cup of coffee, a deep breath before a meeting, a few pages of a book in the bathroom—are what keep us sane.
Success isn’t about big, dramatic breakthroughs. It’s about the tiny choices we make every single day.
✨ “Your future self is being created in the small moments, not the big milestones.”
So, instead of waiting for one big moment to change everything, start by making one small decision today that aligns with the life you want.
At the end of the day, whether we’re talking about business, motherhood, or personal growth, it all comes back to self-love.
Because self-love isn’t just a feeling. It’s a decision. It’s the choice to believe that you are worthy, capable, and enough, exactly as you are today.
✨ “You don’t need to fix yourself. You just need to fully accept yourself.”
I hope this conversation with Nichole reminds you that you are already enough.
